Gift Planning & Bequests
Your legacy to Felician!
Throughout our Franciscan history many thoughtful donors have honored Felician University with bequests and estate gifts. Estate gifts have had a tremendous impact on the number of scholarships Felician can offer and have benefited many programs throughout the school. Leaving a legacy to Felician not only benefits generations of students to come, but can benefit you as well. We can help you name Felician as a beneficiary in your will and show you how to make a highly tax-efficient bequest to the university.
Bequests at Felician are fairly simple; you include a bequest provision in your will or revocable trust, and at your passing Felician receives the bequest you specified. Bequests can be made for a specific dollar amount or as a percentage of your estate, whichever you feel more comfortable with. They can be designated for general use or restricted to a particular scholarship or program at Felician. Many donors established endowments that honor the memory of a family member or loved one. These endowments are self sustaining and leave a lasting legacy for years to come.
The benefits of bequests are manifold to you and your family. Your bequest or trust designation will not be subject to any potential federal estate tax, and it may be changed at any time. You control the funding property during your lifetime and you provide future support to Felician!
If you have already designated Felician with a bequest, retirement plan, or estate gift, please let us know so that we can welcome you to our wall of donors.
